We arranged to meet up with a couple of friends for Sunday lunch at the Globe as it is about halfway for both of us. We hadn't been before so were relying on Trip Advisor when we chose this place. It was a huge success - lovely friendly and helpful staff - Absolutely excellent service. Fabulous food too. 100% recommend.

The room was the perfect temperature and spotlessly clean; the prosecco and the chocolate dipped strawberries were an amazing touches part of the romance package deal, thank you. The bed was very comfortable, we both slept very well. Additionally, the lighting was perfect, plenty of plug sockets! The shower was excellent, the perfect power etc, WiFi was fast, the TV was good, and when we came out for breakfast, the housekeeping team were very friendly and conversational, and staff presence at breakfast was very good. The breakfast portions are huge and delicious, our server created a little tinfoil swan for our sausages to take away, which I thought was a lovely touch. We stayed in the bridal suite and it was just perfect, I would absolutely recommend.
First time back for 40yrs, beautiful place and attention to detail. Immaculate staff, chatty and friendly people. I have a lot of old memories from my experience working there all those years ago, now I have some new ones, thank you. Highly appreciated and recommended.
